My name is James and I’m 27 years old and living in North East England.

I’ve created this page for a few different reasons but mainly to share my journey to becoming a pilot, offering advice to anybody following the same journey who may feel like it’s all a bit of a minefield, and a special part for all of you nervous flyers who I can help with any questions you may have.

My ultimate career goal/dream has always been on the flight deck of anything with wings and if I was to sum myself up in a quote it would be “If you want something bad enough you will find a way, if you don’t you will find an excuse.”

Over the years I have faced a huge number of barriers and frustrations, getting in the way and moving me further from my career goals but with some world class research, a boatload of patience and resilience and a fantastic group of friends and family (including the most supportive individual in the universe my Girlfriend Amy) I’ll journey to the Flight Deck.
